I feel like my painting journey has only just begun and I'm constantly developing, experimenting with new techniques and materials. However, I'm drawn to subject matters that inspire awe in me so water and trees tend to turn up a lot in my work! I'm also fascinated by texture, so a lot of my paintings feature different techniques to try to re-create the textures of nature.

"The Swimmers"
I've been a passionate Scuba diver for 30 years now, but I've only recently started swimming properly in the sea. This series of paintings is inspired by the feeling of swimming in Ireland - the exhileration of the cold, the people you meet and the camaraderie of a shared (slightly mad!) pursuit.
The paintings are done in acrylics on board or canvas board.
